Dr. Mackenzie Hall
Founder Dr. Mackenzie Hall, DACM, L.Ac., MIM, is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine specializing in Functional Medicine and chronic diseases. She is passionate about helping her clients see and understand health data with their own eyes, while supporting an integrated understanding of how the body deals with pathology and returns to a state of homeostatic health. She approaches healing with the understanding that disease isn’t a puzzle to solve or a single pathogen to defeat. Disease is a language—it’s the body speaking in metaphor, in patterns. It is the embodied echo of the unresolved, the suppressed, the inherited, or the unintegrated. It is not just something to just fix, but something to first understand with great care and respect.

In my early adulthood, I found myself navigating the complex journey of chronic illness recovery on my own. I tried everything from conventional treatments to alternative therapies, each promising solutions, but most left me feeling disconnected and misunderstood. Most challenging was that even many alternative and Functional medicine therapies lacked personalization and attunement, often disregarding the sensitivity and inherent balance of my body. What I truly longed for was a system that honored me holistically—it wasn’t until I discovered Classical Chinese Medicine that I truly experienced this.
The turning point in my healing came when I married the wisdom of Functional and Chinese Medicine. Only then did I begin to truly understand what was happening in my body, and as a result, I started to experience real recovery. This process showed me that healing requires a deep understanding of one's own body, not just reliance on someone else to “fix” it. To be aware and participatory in one’s own healing journey is how healthy patterns are ultimately created. And patterns, after all, are what shape health or disease.
I founded Aaro Wellness with the intention to provide a service that integrates the practicality of Functional medicine with the deep, energetic wisdom of Chinese Medicine. It took me 10 years to find my way and it’s my motivation to make this process easier for the next person. I want people to feel empowered to understand their bodies, their physiology, and what a state of “health” feels like. I intend to offer every client the opportunity to engage fully with their own wellness journey, supported by someone who truly understands and cares about their healing.
